SCENE DISTRICT: PRENZLAUER BERG

This is where the city’s students and party people, the new Bohemians and in-crowd of Berlin, come to see and be seen. A buzzing area filled with innovative and hip restaurants and bars for all manner of tastes, as well as live theatre, cinemas and the best sidewalk cafes.

From the Holiday inn Berlin City Center East, Prenzlauer Allee, it is just a few minutes’ drive to Berlin’s new city center. Around Alexanderplatz, Potsdamer Platz and the Brandenburg Gate, all within easy reach, you can find all the major sights, museums, theatres and shops. The tram (which stops right in front of the hotel) will take you straight to Hackescher Markt (Berlin-Soho), where the city’s denizens burn the candle at both ends. Here too are exclusive, independent boutiques, the coolest cafes, and the hottest nightclubs.

The Alexanderplatz and its landmark television tower are also just a few minutes drive away.

For those attending exhibitions or trade fairs, Berlin’s Exhibition Center (ICC) is just 20 minutes away by metro train (S-Bahn). The nearest station, Prenzlauer Allee, is right next to the hotel and offers direct service. Underground parking is also available.
